From 2 to 11 October 2026, the Concerts d’automne de Tours (France) celebrate their tenth edition. Founded in 2016 under the artistic direction of Alessandro Di Profio, with Natalie Dessay as patron, the festival has established itself over the past decade as one of Centre-Val de Loire’s leading musical events, welcoming more than 1,700 artists, from William Christie and Philippe Jaroussky to Christina Pluhar, Rinaldo Alessandrini and Václav Luks.
For this anniversary edition, seven concerts will once again take place in some of Tours’ finest venues. Jordi Savall will open the festival on 2 October at Saint-Gatien Cathedral with La Capella Reial de Catalunya and Hespèrion XXI, revisiting the legendary Llibre Vermell de Montserrat. Ensemble Jacques Moderne and Consonance, two groups with long-standing ties to the city, will also underline the festival’s strong roots in Tours.
The second weekend will see Les Musiciens du Louvre make their first appearance at the Grand Théâtre, followed by a Handel-focused gala from the Orchestra of the Royal Opera of Versailles, conducted by Stefan Plewniak, with Ann Hallenberg and Paul-Antoine Bénos-Djian. Jean-Luc Ho will bring the harpsichord to the Protestant Church, while Thomas Enhco will close this tenth edition with his Mozart Paradox, poised between classical music and jazz. A programme reflecting the festival’s journey so far: international in outlook while giving local ensembles their due, rooted in early music yet curious enough to venture beyond its boundaries.
