“Lyrique tragédie” with Véronique Gens and Les Surprises

→Driven and elemental, this performance brings together Véronique Gens and Les Surprises in a staged form conceived as a continuous flow, where arias and orchestral pieces unfold seamlessly, closely aligned with musical gesture and declamation.

Véronique Gens reunites with Les Surprises, conducted by Louis-Noël Bestion de Camboulas, in a programme conceived as a true tragédie lyrique. From Jean-Baptiste Lully to Jean-Philippe Rameau, via Marin Marais and André-Cardinal Destouches, as well as the lesser-known Jean-Féry Rebel, this programme interweaves arias and orchestral pieces in a dramatic progression inspired by primordial chaos, the elements and human passions.
