In Nice, a tribute to Palestrina by the Opera Choir

The Nice Opera Choir invites you to join them this Sunday, 14 December, in the exceptional setting of Nice’s Sainte-Réparate Cathedral for a unique a cappella concert in tribute to Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, marking the 500th anniversary of his birth. A selection of his most famous motets for 4, 6 and 8 voices will conclude with his ‘O magnum Mysterium’. An original initiative: this text will be presented in the second part of the concert with music by various composers from different countries around the world: Francis Poulenc from France, Morten Lauridsen from Denmark, Javier Busto from Spain, Vinciunas Miskinis from Lithuania and Kevin Memley, an American born in New Zealand.
