On the hill of Vézelay, in the heart of Burgundy’s vineyards, stands the Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, whose construction began in 1096. It is around this major Romanesque monument that the Rencontres Musicales de Vézelay are held each year during the third weekend of August. This year, the festival celebrates its 25th edition, a highlight of the Cité de la Voix’s programming, which radiates throughout the entire region.
