The Berlin Senate has selected 13 projects in the field of early music for the year 2026. An independent jury selected 13 projects from 41 applications for a total of €367,567 . Among the projects receiving funding are “Die Eloquenz der Tränen ‘ (The Eloquence of Tears) by Prisca Stalmarski, and ’Berlin 1626‘ by the Academy for Historical Performance Practice. The Spandau Cultural Centre is receiving €50,570 for its baroque music project ’SPAM light”. Other projects supported include a music festival in Wannsee, a Vivaldi project by Bernadette Kis, and a tribute to Sara Levy’s Berlin music salon by the Gesellschaft der Freunde der Friedenauer Kammerkonzerte. These grants are awarded subject to the city’s budgetary capacity.
