Named “lyrical revelation” at the 2025 Victoires de la musique [France’s annual awards for classical musicians] and winner of Operalia in 2023, Julie Roset is pursuing a path already marked by major collaborations in the Baroque repertoire as well as on the great international stages: from Paris to Salzburg, from Madrid to Geneva. At 28, she takes on her first Strauss role at the Metropolitan Opera in Arabella, where she had won the Laffont Competition in 2022 after getting an Artist Diploma at the Juilliard School. For Total Baroque Magazine, she is keeping a New York diary until opening night on November 10. Follow Julie, in this second instalment, right into the heart of the rehearsals!
