A new star is about to shine in Vienna’s musical sky. Musica Imperiale, an ambitious and unprecedented concert series, will be launched on June 1, 2025, with an opening concert entitled Mille Affetti. This large-scale project aims to combine artistic excellence, historically informed performance, and a tribute to Vienna’s rich imperial heritage.
The chosen venue for this launch is none other than the historic Ehrbar Saal, a true hidden gem of the Austrian capital. With its exceptional acoustics and intimate atmosphere, this hall once welcomed legendary figures such as Johannes Brahms and Gustav Mahler. Today, it offers the perfect setting for this new musical venture.
To inaugurate Musica Imperiale, the audience will have the privilege of hearing sopranist Bruno de Sá, whose rare and radiant voice captivates audiences around the world. His program Mille Affetti will highlight all the virtuosity and emotion of his art.
Musica Imperiale promises to become an unmissable concert series, weaving connections between Vienna’s imperial past and the vibrancy of today’s musical scene, with a spirit of excellence, refinement, and rediscovery.
