Franco Fagioli in Bayreuth

→Captured at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival, this concert devoted to Leonardo Vinci brings together countertenor Franco Fagioli, the orchestra Armonia Atenea and conductor George Petrou for an evening celebrating the Neapolitan Baroque tradition.

Recorded at the Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth, the programme pays tribute to the Neapolitan composer Leonardo Vinci through arias from Artaserse, Siroe and Gismondo, interspersed with two of Handel’s Concerti Grossi. Franco Fagioli is joined by Armonia Atenea under the direction of George Petrou, as part of the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival.
