“Dreams”: Le Banquet Céleste Reimagines English Baroque

→With his ensemble, Damien Guillon presented Dreams – Dowland & Purcell, a dreamlike stage work inspired by English Baroque music.

Staged by Cécile Roussat and Julien Lubek in 2020 at the Opéra de Rennes, this creation by Le Banquet Céleste brings together music, visual theatre and circus arts. It offers a deeply sensitive reading of Dowland and Purcell, in which the scenography becomes an extension of the melancholy and inner reflection that run through their works.
