La Voce Strumentale and Dmitry Sinkovsky

→Alternately conductor, violinist and singer, Dmitry Sinkovsky explores a Baroque style full of contrasts and movement with his ensemble La Voce Strumentale. Between Bachian architecture and Italian virtuosity, this programme brings two major traditions of the 18th century into dialogue.

Russian violinist, conductor and countertenor Dmitry Sinkovsky has emerged as a singular presence on the Baroque scene, distinguished by his command of bow, baton and voice — a versatility that has become his hallmark. At the helm of La Voce Strumentale, the ensemble he founded in 2011, he presents a programme poised between the Italian and German traditions, from the propulsive energy of Vivaldi to the refined conversational elegance of Telemann, balancing stylistic rigour with interpretative freedom.
