La Bella Noeva by Ensemble Accordone

→As the Maguelone Early Music Festival wraps up its 43rd edition this week, Total Baroque invites you to revisit the acclaimed performance by the Accordone ensemble and Marco Beasley from 2011, in a programme that brings together Gregorian chant and tarantellas, erudition and spontaneity.

At Maguelone Cathedral, near Montpellier (France), where the Maguelone Early Music Festival is held every year, Marco Beasley and Guido Morini’s ensemble Accordone presented the programme “La Bella Noeva” (The Good News), featuring a highly diverse repertoire: from Gregorian chant to Monteverdi, from the tarantellas of Salento to works composed especially by Guido Morini.

A programme between tradition and invention
