After three years in a literary preparatory class at the Lycée Condorcet, a Humanities degree from the University of Nanterre, and a diploma from the École du Louvre, Elisabeth Houpert joined the specialised programme in opera singing at the Paris Regional Conservatory (C.R.R.), where she completed her DEM in Elsa Lévy’s class. She then entered the early-music department of the Clamart Conservatory, studying with Jérôme Corréas and Samuel Crowther, and continues to work on her technique with Sophie Fournier and Chantal Santon-Jeffery. A laureate of the Académie du Pays d’Auge, directed by Sébastien Daucé, and the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, she is a member of the Atelier Lyrique of the Opéra de Massy under the direction of David Stern, and takes part in various music-theatre projects with Yannick Lemaire’s Opérabus. She has also been working for the Cité de la Musique–Philharmonie de Paris for the past four years.
