The Göttingen International Handel Festival is looking for “young people passionate about early music.” Through the Göttingen Händel Competition, the festival supports and honors young talented ensembles from all over Europe.

With strong partners, a high-level jury, and attractive prizes, the chamber music competition has become an essential part of the festival since 2017. Early music ensembles (2 to 7 members) focusing on baroque music are invited to apply. The age limit for individual members is 35 years, and the average age of the ensemble must not exceed 32 years. The competition will take place on May 19 and 20, 2025, in Göttingen (winner’s concerts on May 21 and 22, 2025).
