→To mark the 20th anniversary of the Pygmalion Ensemble, let’s take a look back at one of the ensemble’s standout performances in 2019, featuring a programme that revisited Johann Sebastian Bach’s Great Motets, where vocal virtuosity meets the most demanding polyphonic tradition.

Bach’s Great Motets performed by Pygmalion

Through this dialogue between the work of the Leipzig cantor and that of German, Italian, and Dutch composers, this programme illustrates the great variety and richness of the choral repertoire of the 16th and 17th centuries.
