In Seoul, the Canadian ensemble Tafelmusik and violinist Rachel Podger, a leading figure in historically informed performance, present Brilliant Baroque, a programme centred on Bach and enriched by works by Purcell, Reichenauer and Avison. Part of the Korean Eagon Concert project, which invites international ensembles each year, the evening also features a contemporary creation by composer Junghyun Kim, Maeari-Rang, inspired by a traditional Korean song. A contrasting musical journey, linking different layers of memory.
