Since 2010, the Midsummer Festival has taken place in northern France, more precisely at the Château d’Hardelot with its all-wood Elizabethan theatre, inaugurated in 2016. An event held during the summer solstice—hence its name, which is also a tribute to Shakespeare and his A Midsummer Night’s Dream. A French festival, but one that looks toward Great Britain.
