Jean Rondeau and Louis Couperin in Colmar
Back in Colmar, on the famous 1624 Ruckers harpsichord at the Unterlinden Museum, Jean Rondeau gave a recital devoted to Louis Couperin. The 34-year-old harpsichordist has already recorded several pieces from his complete works project devoted to Couperin (1626–1661, uncle of François Couperin). This monumental body of work has just been released as a boxed set bringing together nearly 200 pieces for harpsichord, as well as works for organ and consort.

“The Victories of Louis XIV” in Versailles
At the Royal Chapel of the Palace of Versailles, Le Concert Spirituel, conducted by Hervé Niquet, joined forces with the members of the Académie de l’Opéra Royal and the Chantres du Centre de musique baroque de Versailles for a concert marking the launch of a new collaboration with the CMBV. The programme focused on Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s works for double choir and double orchestra.

Jordi Savall at the 2025 Catalonia Prize in Barcelona
Jordi Savall and his ensemble Hespèrion XXI took part at the Palau de la Generalitat in Barcelona in the award ceremony for the 2025 International Catalonia Prize, presented to Israeli and Palestinian peace activists Yael Admi and Reem Alhajajra for their initiative The Mothers’ Call. Endowed with €80,000, the prize honours their sustained commitment to reconciliation, dialogue and the construction of a shared peaceful future in the Middle East. For the occasion, Hespèrion XXI brought together musicians from Israel and Turkey.

A new creation in Tours for Diabolus in Musica
Since 1992, the ensemble Diabolus in Musica has been exploring the rich repertoire of medieval music from its base in Tours. Currently in residence at the Prieuré Saint-Cosme, the former home of the poet Ronsard near Tours, the group is preparing a new creation entitled À même l’immense, combining medieval music with contemporary writing. The project traces a journey across a dozen locations, including Florence, Chambord, the Cluny Museum and Epidaurus.
