Venice Music Project at Boughton House (UK)
Boughton House and the Venice Music Project, in partnership with the Venice in Peril Fund, hosted a concert in the Great Hall of Boughton, showcasing recently unearthed works from the Montagu Music Collection. Composers Giovanni Porta and Johann Adolf Hasse, contemporaries of Vivaldi in Venice, were the focus of the evening. Built by the Duke of Montagu—British ambassador to France in 1699—the house is often described as the “English Versailles.” The concert also marked the unveiling of the restored ceiling of the Great Hall, featuring a 1705 painting, The Apotheosis of Hercules by Louis Chéron.

Season finale for Titans Rising in Berlin
The Berlin-based ensemble Titans Rising closed their 2024–2025 concert season at the Am Lietzensee Church in Charlottenburg with an adventurous programme spotlighting three late 16th-century madrigal composers: Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Maddalena Casulana and Raffaella Aleotti. In stark contrast to the splendour of the papal chapel, Casulana—a lutenist, singer, and music teacher active in Venice—was presented as a feminist counterpoint to Palestrina.
