Josquin Desprez from the Renaissance to Silicon Valley

One of today’s leading specialists in European Renaissance music from around 1420 to 1520 is American. A scholar and musician, Jesse Rodin has devoted much of his work to Josquin Desprez, often described as the “Michelangelo of music”. He founded the Josquin Research Project (JRP), a freely accessible website entirely dedicated to the composer, as well as the ensemble Cut Circle.
